Biography Professor Xiaodong Chen holds the prestigious President's Chair Professorship in Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, with courtesy appointments in Chemistry and Medicine. His research interests span mechanomaterials science and engineering, flexible electronics technology, sense digitalization, cyber-human interfaces and systems, and carbon-negative technology.

Esteemed awards recognising Prof. Chen's outstanding scientific contributions include the Singapore President's Science Award, the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) Investigatorship and NRF Fellowship, Winner of Falling Walls, the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Dan Maydan Prize in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and Kabiller Young Investigator Award. He is a member of the Singapore National Academy of Science and the Academy of Engineering Singapore and a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Chinese Chemical Society. Prof. Chen also serves on the editorial advisory boards of numerous esteemed international journals, including Advanced Materials, Small, and Nanoscale Horizons. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of ACS Nano, a flagship journal in nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Biography Professor Jien-Wei Yeh got PhD at Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National Tsing Hua University in 1986. He is the Chair Professor of Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, and the Director of High Entropy Materials Center, National Tsing Hua University. He is the Chair of International High-Entropy Materials Consortium.

He has the expertise in the field of high-entropy alloys and materials, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys and metal-matrix composites, coating technology, manufacturing technology.

He has rewritten the history of materials development. In these 27 years, he h as invented, named, defined and theorized High-Entropy Materials. He creates t he new life for the Periodic Table of Elements from which limitless material’s compositions could be provided for research, development and applications. He h as published more than 280 papers. According to Scopus statistics, as of October 1, 2023, his total number of citations is 41,781 and H-index is 85. The highest number of citations for a single paper (high-entropy concept paper) is 8,48 3 times. In 2022, Professor Yeh’s world ranking of scientific influence in the field of materials is No. 2 from the list of World's Top 2% Scientists published by Stanford University and Elsevier in 2023, basing on the analysis of 2022 Scopus paper citation. He is also the first to implement high-entropy materials technology into industry and make significant contributions. He is known as “Father of High-Entropy Alloys”.
